Identifying the pain points: Market Research
We started an organic approach to our research by first visiting the Home Depot East Liberty store. We performed a contextual inquiry in the store by interviewing multiple associates in the store. From our inquiry, we identified multiple pain points that affected both the associates and the customers. ​
From our interactions, we could see that there were multiple underserved customers and business needs with the kitchen design process and can be improved to make the interaction between the customer and associate much efficient. Though we could interact regarding the kitchen design process, we could see the pain points easily broadening out to multiple areas of home design.​
