I helped start this event in 2016 as a student member of the sports booster community. Since then, it has become a staple event for the Jones College Prep community and is now run by Friends of Jones. I helped to organize the budget and stage this event over those years. On race day I was primarily involved in organizing volunteers and marking the course. I have continued my involvement in this process by editing the logo to better reflect the race.
The logo features the city skyline because of the schools downtown location and I connected the k to a runners shoe because it is a 5k running race.
